Parental Leave

​We proudly at Accent Group have our own parental leave program, which provides additional paid time off for those welcoming a child into their family.

Benefit Available to Accent Team Members

  • 8 weeks payment for primary parent/caregiver

  • 2 weeks paternity for secondary parent/caregiver

How to Access More Information

Please send an email to people@accentgr.com.au for our copy of our parental leave guide or to apply for paid parental leave.

Who Can Access the Discount

  • Must be employed full time or part time

  • Must be with the business for 12 months

Parental Leave

While we do not offer a hybrid working model in our Support Offices, all team members are able to apply for a flexible working arrangement for their individual circumstances.

Flexible Working Arrangement
  • Some employees can request flexible working arrangements.

  • Team need to have worked for the same employer for at least 12 months.

  • Team need to follow certain rules when requesting flexible working arrangements.

  • Team must complete the Flexible Working Arrangement form and send to HR for the applicable to be reviewed

At Accent Group, we understand that navigating the loss of a child is an incredibly difficult experience. We offer paid bereavement leave, flexible work arrangements, and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for emotional support. Please contact HR or your manager for assistance during this difficult time.

Entitlements

Under the Fair Work Act, team may be entitled to:

  • Unpaid parental leave (up to 12 months)

  • Paid compassionate leave

  • Apply for a flexible working arrangement


Equally, team may be entitled to Centrelink benefits such as parental leave payments or one-off payment for those who have experienced stillbirth.

Accent Group

  • We cannot imagine the difficult times for families who experience this. Leaders are encouraged to connect with the People team at People@accentgr.com.au to explore any additional support we can offer during this time.

Compassionate leave allows team members to take time off during difficult times, such as the loss of a loved one, serious illness of a family member, or other significant personal circumstances.

How to access the leave?

  • Notify your manager as soon as possible

  • Submit the leave request through Dayforce

Who is it available to?

  • All full-time and part time team members who have immediate family go through the qualifying circumstances.
